Hi LU's -
I thought you'd like to know that if you are using
a Mac or a PC running something like Windows, that
you are using the equivalent of a Point+Shoot camera.
When you press that <Return> on your keyboard you have
no idea what you are sending! Unfortunately for some
of us (e.g. UNIX users) who see all the junk your
mailer sends, it makes your mail sometimes difficult
to read.
For example, we just read on that last Digest ...
> From: "hendrik.korthaus" <hendrik.korthaus@cww.de>
<snip> ...
> ... swedish (j=E5g har arbeted i tyska f=F6rsamlingen Malm=F6 =
> for 2 monaden och prater svenska d=E5lig) or german (Nat=FCrlich :-) =
> ).
If you want to send the latter, why not send: Natuerlich?
That way anyone can easily read what you are trying to
send. This was one (trivial) example, othertimes we see
=20 at the end of each line. I find it amusing how Leica
users who usually prize being in perfect control of their
manual-everything camera, use computers like point+shoot
cameras!
Best wishes,
-- Wolfgang
