Subject: 35mm M lens comparison

          I would like to obtain information with respect to contrast and 
resolution of the latest 35mm aspheric Leica M lens.In particular, the f stops
of interest are between f4 and f8; I am not a low light photographer.As a 
current user of an f2 35mm Summicron(version 3 with 6 elements made in Canada 
circa 1978) and of an f1.4 35mm Summilux what benefit would the aspheric 
provide if I were to replace the older lenses?
           Any information by the LUGgers is welcome,including specific 
reference to the LUG archives.
