I too have never been happy with AF whenever I've tried it so far. On the
other hand I know people who swear by it. However there's an outside
possibility that I'll be able to use an F5 on an upcoming assignment
which - given that it represents the 'state of the art' at the moment -
will be interesting. I rather hope I don't fall in love with it, though,
because the cost of the bodies will be nothing compared to the cost of
new AF lenses.
If I do use it, I'll mention it here and then if anyone's interested I
can mail my impressions directly to them, 'cos I guess I'll get lynched
if I post an F5 review to the list.
