Subject: [Leica] S2 envy...

All my life it was basically Leitz verses Zeiss. Which was better? Which way
did you want to go?
Leitz had the bottleneck issue of not doing medium format while Zeiss for
Hasselblad or Zeiss for Rollei or others made it so the results you'd get
from that glass really was impossible for Leica compete with. It made you
think Zeiss made better glass which I think generally wasn't true.
Leitz even made a medium format enlarger. But no camera. No Leicablad. No
Leica 6.
But now that's all over thanks to Dr. Kaufmann and the Leica team and
digital which made them re invent Leica's non constrictions.
Leica now has a medium format system and one which handles fast and can
compete against anybody.
I'm real happy about that. Leica is on top.
This issue of course is high finance.
